Chuwi began advertising their new Android flagship tablet, the Chuwi HiPad Pro, two weeks ago, but they purposefully put the pre-launch faux pricing to $9999 to keep people guessing what it would launch for. We still don’t know why it’s being released, but Chuwi has announced that the HiPad Pro will be available on Aliexpress.com on August 3rd. It appears that this tablet will have a two-day $299 launch discount before the price returns to normal.
Chuwi HiPad Pro is an Android 11 tablet having a 10.8-inch 2k display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Other notable features include quad 1-watt speakers, a 7000 mAh battery with QC 3.0 charging compatibility, a 5MP punch-hole front camera, an 8MP rear camera, and an optional keyboard cover.
It’s also built like a pro tablet, weighing 480 grams and measuring 6.9mm thick. Aside from that, the Chuwi HiPad Pro has Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE for select locations, twin mics, and a USB C connector.
The keyboard cover and the 4096 pressure level sensitive Chuwi H7 digitizer pen are optional. We’ll return to this tablet once we have more information on the price and other details. But it’s safe to say that this is Chuwi’s most intriguing Android tablet to date.
