The OxygenOS 126.96.36.199 update for the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is now available in India. The upgrade improves the camera and system performance of OnePlus’s cheap smartphone. The June 2021 Android security patch is included in the update. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G was released on June 10 and has since gotten two upgrades, both of which improved the smartphone’s camera. OnePlus typically releases software upgrades in gradual steps, so the update should take a few weeks to reach all customers.

Our review unit got the OnePlus Nord CE 5G OxygenOS 184.108.40.206 upgrade, which includes firmware version 220.127.116.11.EB13DA. According to the changelog, the OnePlus smartphone will receive camera and system upgrades. Camera improvements include enhanced front camera performance, decreased noise in Nightscape mode’s dark regions, and an optimized video call experience. System upgrades provide a better face unlock experience, faster charging and enhanced system stability, as well as patches for known issues.
The OnePlus Nord CE 5G OxygenOS 18.104.22.168 update also includes the June 2021 Android security patch with the firmware version OxygenOS 22.214.171.124EB13DA and is 172MB in size. It is best to update the smartphone while it is connected to a strong Wi-Fi network and charged. OnePlus typically updates its smartphones in stages, and the update is expected to be available over the air in the coming weeks. OnePlus’ Nord CE 5G is aimed at the lower end of the smartphone market. According to OnePlus, the CE in the name stands for Core Edition because the device is capable of providing a core smartphone experience. The 6.43-inch AMOLED display on the OnePlus Nord CE 5G has a hole-punch for the selfie camera. It also has a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display has good viewing angles and a quick-to-unlock in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is thin and weighs 170gms, making it suitable for use with one hand.
OnePlus has chosen the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, with RAM options of 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB. It comes in two storage sizes, but storage is not expandable due to the lack of a microSD card slot.
The Nord CE 5G is equipped with three cameras: a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel mono camera. It has a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The Nord CE’s daytime photos were good, but its low-light camera performance could be better.
In the Nord CE, OnePlus has included a 4,500mAh battery capable of providing more than a day’s worth of battery life. It also supports 30W fast charging and includes a Warp Charge 30T charger.
