The Vivo Y01 has been quietly released in the African market. The new Vivo smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and 2GB of RAM. The Vivo Y01 is a budget-friendly smartphone featuring a 6.51-inch HD+ LCD display with a waterdrop-style notch for the front camera. The smartphone has a single 8-megapixel back camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Vivo Y01 is powered by Android 11 (Go edition) with the Funtouch OS 11.1 skin on top. In addition, the Vivo Y01 comes with a 5,000mAh battery that allows reverse charging.
The new Vivo Y01 will be available in numerous African nations, including Kenya, although the pricing has not yet been announced. The Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue color variants for Vivo’s new smartphone will be available. There is no word on when the smartphone would be available in India.
Vivo Y01 Features
The phone comes with a 6.51-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1,600 pixels. Vivo Y01 comes with 2GB of RAM. The Vivo Y01 runs Android 11 (Go edition) and is powered by a 5,000mAh non-removable battery.
The Vivo Y01 on the rear packs an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The front camera also features autofocus.
The Vivo Y01 runs Funtouch OS 11.1 is based on Android 11 (Go edition) and packs 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 1000GB) with a dedicated slot. The Vivo Y01 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Vivo Y01 measures 163.96 x 75.20 x 8.28mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 178.00 grams. It was launched in Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue colors.
Connectivity options on the Vivo Y01 include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, Micro-USB, Headphones, FM radio, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Vivo Y01 supports face unlock.

The smartphone seems to be a really good option to be for basic buyers. It comes with a smart Mediatek chipset and really good camera as well.
Vivo has interesting choices in terms of Mediatek chipsets. I think this device is really good overall for its features.
