Windows 11 Microsoft Edge Browser is getting design improvements

Microsoft Edge’s next interface update is coming with Windows 11, and more potential work has been discovered in the browser’s Canary builds. Microsoft is testing a new experimental flag called “Enable Windows 11 visual updates” in Edge Canary, which appears to improve the overall browser experience on Windows 11.

Microsoft wants to enable “in-progress” visual improvements for the currently installed version of Windows, according to the flags menu. These changes will match the look and feel of Windows 11, but for the time being, the visual refresh is limited to a few menus and the browser’s window.

The Microsoft Edge interface has received minor improvements, including a brighter menu and more space around the minimize, maximize, and close icons, which are located in the top-right corner.

Microsoft is also attempting to brighten the menus in Edge on Windows 11 by changing the default font style and size.

To try out the new look, download the Canary build of Edge and enable the “Enable Windows 11 visual updates” flag.

It’s worth noting that the company is still working on a Windows 11 visual refresh for Microsoft Edge, and more enhancements will be included in future builds.

Microsoft is also developing a new method for sharing links with friends, family, and coworkers.

Microsoft is adding a new share menu to the browser’s address bar, making it easier to share links via your favorite services ranging from Gmail to Facebook. Because this feature is built into the browser, you do not need to install any third-party extensions or apps to use it.

To access the share menu, open Edge’s menu and choose Share.

Microsoft is putting the new share menu through its paces in Edge Canary. Microsoft will include an experimental share menu flag in the stable build later this year, ahead of automatic rollout.

Furthermore, Microsoft has confirmed that Chromium Edge extensions will be available on the Microsoft Store (Windows 11).

More Edge improvements are likely in the coming months, with some of these changes also coming to Windows 10.
